Oscar and Evelyn Overton Charitable Foundation |
The Cheesecake Factory has inherited a tradition of excellence from our founders, Oscar and Evelyn Overton, whose values shaped our culture and continue to define the character of our Company today. It is with these values in mind that we proudly established The Cheesecake Factory Oscar & Evelyn Overton Charitable Foundation in their names on September 11, 2001.
The purpose of The Cheesecake Factory Oscar & Evelyn Overton Charitable Foundation is to fulfill our civic responsibility of giving something back to the communities of which we are a part. This non-profit organization was created not only as a financial instrument, but also as a way to utilize our ever-increasing number of caring and conscientious staff members and unite them behind a common cause.

Thanksgiving Day Feast in Ten Cities
November 22, 2007- For the past five years, The Cheesecake Factory has prepared and served a Thanksgiving Day Feast at select Salvation Army Shelters. In addition to providing exceptional food and service, the dinner offers personal fulfillment for our staff member volunteers and our Salvation Army guests. In 2007 more than 2,000 staff members in ten cities across the country volunteered to prepare and serve Thanksgiving dinner to 4,500 homeless and low-income individuals and families in local shelters. Restaurant Grand Opening Charity Parties
As The Cheesecake Factory continues to grow, we are proud to support charitable organizations in our new communities. Upon entering a new market, The Cheesecake Factory and Grand Lux Café restaurants typically host a Grand Opening Party to benefit a local charity. Our Grand Opening parties are lavish affairs with delicious food, entertainment – and of course, our famous cheesecake – with 100% of the revenue donated to the designated charity. We are thrilled to have been able to raise an average of $25,000 for local charities at each of our Grand Opening Parties!
